Travelling Between Lyon–Saint Exupéry Airport and Lyon City Centre

There are several transport options available between Lyon–Saint Exupéry Airport
and Lyon city centre.

1. C200 Bus

The C200 bus departs from a stop near Terminal 1 and travels to
Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie, where passengers can connect to
Metro Line A. The journey takes approximately
40 minutes.

Tickets cost approximately €2.10 and can be purchased directly
on board using a contactless credit or debit card. The ticket is valid for one
hour and may also be used for connecting journeys within the TCL public transport
network. Passengers should present the same payment card again when transferring.

The bus operates approximately every 30 minutes.

2. Rhônexpress Airport Shuttle

The Rhônexpress tram shuttle is located approximately five
minutes on foot from Terminals 1 and 2.

It connects the airport with several transport hubs in the Lyon metropolitan
area, including:

  • Lyon Part-Dieu Station – connection to Metro Line B
  • Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie – connection to Metro Line A
  • Meyzieu Z.I. – connection to Tram Line T3

Services operate approximately every 15 to 30 minutes.

3. Private Car Services

Private car services, such as Uber, are also available.
Fares generally range from €50 to €55, although prices may vary
depending on demand and the time of booking.

Rides may be requested through the relevant mobile application upon arrival at
the airport. Advance reservations may also be available, but they are usually
more expensive.

Please note that private-hire drivers may cancel a confirmed journey and are not
subject to the same service obligations as licensed taxis.

4. Taxi

Official taxis are available outside Terminal 1,
Terminal 2, and the TGV railway station.

The fare between the airport and Lyon city centre generally ranges from
€50 to €80, depending on traffic conditions, the time of travel,
and the final destination.
